2018 Shiraka Program: Supporting Small Scale Initiatives of Local Organizations in Jordan

The Netherlands Fund for Regional Partnerships (NFRP) is seeking proposals for its 2018 Shiraka program to support sustainable transition in the MENA Region.  Shiraka was launched in 2016 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a successor to the Matra South Programme.

Projects funded from Shiraka are intended to support small scale initiatives of local organizations that contribute to societal transformation. To be eligible for a contribution under the Shiraka Program, activities must relate to economic growth; income generating activities that promote local development in rural areas.

Grant Information

Indicative budgets can go up to a maximum of JOD 100.000 (for a one year project) and up to a maximum of JOD 195.000 (for a two years project); maximum overhead allowed is 7.5% of the total budget.

Duration of the project may not exceed two years
