2021-22 Artist Support Grant providing Support to Individual Artists – US

Applications are now open for the Artist Support Grant (ASG), provided through a partnership with the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural & Cultural Resources, and other arts councils divided into 18 statewide regions to provide direct support to individual artists during and following the COVID-19 pandemic.

The initiative will fund professional and artistic development for emerging and established artists to enhance their skills and abilities to create work or to improve their business operations and capacity to bring their work to new audiences.

Artists representing visual, craft, performing, traditional, and interdisciplinary art forms are encouraged to apply. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to spending a significant portion of their time on their work as artists.

In project year 2021-22, applicants may apply for up to 50% of the grant to support the individual artist in addition to costs related to the following:

Eligibility Criteria

The Artist Support Grant is intended to support a broad range of talented artists in the genres of visual arts, performing arts, literary arts, music composition, choreography and interdisciplinary arts. Eligible candidates may be either emerging or established artists. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to spending a significant portion of their time on the work as artists.
