2021 Sparking Positive Change: A Symposium to End Youth Homelessness in Maryland (US)

CFPs to Support the Implementation of Follow-up Youth Initiatives

Deadline: 09-Apr-21

The Institute for Innovation and Implementation at the University of Maryland School of Social Work, and the Sparking Positive Change Symposium Planning Committee, in partnership with the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development, is inviting individuals to submit presentation proposals for the 2021 Sparking Positive Change: A Symposium to End Youth Homelessness in Maryland.

The goal of the Sparking Positive Change Symposium is to provide an opportunity to learn and share best practices and effective strategies to prevent and ultimately end youth homelessness across Maryland. This is a unique opportunity to network and collaborate with organizations and jurisdictions about the challenges specific to youth housing instability and homelessness.

The Symposium is designed to bring together youth, service providers, local and state government agencies, funders, policymakers, advocates, and anyone who wants to learn more about how they can work together to address youth homelessness in Maryland.

From fostering collaborations and strategic planning, to program design and youth engagement, they are looking for sessions that are designed to give participants strategies, tools, and skills that can be adapted for their organization, agency, or community to help improve efforts to end and prevent youth homelessness across Maryland.
