The Department of Homeland Security – FEMA is currently seeking applications for the 2022 Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) to enhance the ability of state, local, tribal, and territorial governments, as well as nonprofits, to prevent, protect against, prepare for, and respond to terrorist attacks.
Objective: The objective of the FY 2022 NSGP is to provide funding for physical and cyber security enhancements and other security-related activities to nonprofit organizations that are at high risk of a terrorist attack. The NSGP also seeks to integrate the preparedness activities of nonprofit organizations with broader state and local preparedness efforts.

Eligibility Criteria
The SAA is the only eligible applicant. Nonprofit organizations eligible as subapplicants to the SAA are those organizations that are:
- Described under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (IRC) and exempt from tax under section 501(a) of such code.
- Able to demonstrate, through the application, that the organization is at high risk of a terrorist attack; and
- For NSGP-UA, located within a FY 2022 UASI-designated high-risk urban area; or for NSGP-S, located outside of a FY 2022 UASI-designated high-risk urban area.
