The Golden Field Office is seeking applications for its 2022 Solar Manufacturing Incubator Funding Opportunity that seeks to invest in innovative research and development (R&D) as well as research, development, and demonstration (RD&D) projects that enable continued cost reductions, while developing next-generation solar technologies and boosting American solar manufacturing, especially in cadmium telluride (CdTe) photovoltaics.

This funding opportunity announcement (FOA) is being issued by the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) Solar Energy Technologies Office (SETO).

EERE expects to make a total of approximately $27 million of federal funding available for new awards under this FOA, subject to the availability of appropriated funds. EERE anticipates making approximately 7 – 24 awards under this FOA. EERE may issue one, multiple, or no awards. Individual awards may vary between $0.5 million and $10 million.
