Deadline: 20-Jul-22
The StreetARToronto (StART) invites street, mural and graffiti artists/collectives to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for a 2022 Project to be considered for funding. Monumental Projects are funded 65% by the City of Toronto (StART Program).
StART Monumental Projects provide opportunities for well-established artists and artist collectives to create art that makes Toronto streets welcoming and beautiful. StART also creates mentorship opportunities for emerging and mid-career mural artists by providing the experience necessary to produce large-scale murals at heights.
In recognition of the scale of the project and its benefits, the property owner/manager is required to contribute the balance (35%) of the Project costs excluding the cost of mentorship. Mentorship costs are entirely covered by the City of Toronto (StART Program) and are thus to be treated independently of the project budget.
The artists/collective selected to implement this Project will be required to enter into a formal Agreement with the City.
