The Pacific American Fund is a $35 million five-year grant facility that addresses critical development challenges across 12 Pacific Island Countries. The Pacific American Fund is implemented and operated by Social Solutions International on behalf of United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

The Pacific American Fund’s goals are to improve the quality of life for vulnerable communities and to increase access to services for remote communities in Pacific Island Countries (PICs). The principal means by which the Fund supports PICs is through its core grant-making facility and associated capacity building activities.

The Fund awards grants on an open and competitive basis to qualifying local,national, and internationally operating civil society organizations (CSOs), including private small-and-medium enterprises, non-governmental organizations and institutions, universities, and faith-based organizations.

Eligible Countries

Pacific American Fund grant activities must be implemented in one or more of the following 12 Pacific Island Countries: Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), Fiji, Kiribati, Palau, Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI), Nauru, Papua New Guinea (PNG), Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.

Eligibility Criteria

The Pacific American Fund will execute grants with non-governmental organizations (non-profits or for-profits), subject to the conditions in the USAID Automated Directives System (ADS). Grants will be awarded only to non-US or US non-governmental organizations.
