Alexandria Research Centre for Adaptation to Climate Change (ARCA) is seeking proposals for the 6th round of its ARCA Small Research Grants Program to intend Egyptian researchers affiliated with Egyptian universities and/or research institutions working or having research interest in climate change impacts, vulnerability and adaptation.
Research proposals should focus in general on specific issues and/or sites vulnerable to climate change in Egypt.

- Downscaling of climate change Downscaling climate variables from Global Climate Models (GCM) to national level
- Climate change implications on human health
- Vulnerability of tourism sector to climate change
- Climate change and groundwater
Funding Information
The current round of ARCA Small-Research Grants program offers 4 research grants up to EGP 100,000 for 9 months projects.
Eligibility Criteria
- ARCA Research grants are awarded once during the duration of the project through a competitive and transparent process.
- Applicants should be members of public/private academic or research institutions in Egypt and cooperation between institutions is encouraged but not compulsory. Moreover, ARCA Research Grants Committee would evaluate favorably multidisciplinary research work and research teams.
- It should be stated that current or previous permanent members of ARCA, its steering committee, the Grants committee or who left less than one year before the call, are not eligible for applying for the grants.
- Applicants are encouraged to submit proposals that:
- Be of relevance to climate change impacts, vulnerability and adaptation.
- Be multidiscipline in nature,
- Have clear and measurable objectives.
- Involve strong justifications for it to be funded
