The State Government of Victoria has announced Access for All Abilities Program 2021–2023 – a Victorian Government program that has supported inclusive sport and recreation opportunities for people with a disability for over 15 years.
Eligible organisations are invited to apply for funding through the Victorian Government’s Access for All Abilities Program 2021–2023 which aims to increase participation opportunities for people with disability to get involved in all aspects of sport and active recreation.
They are calling on sport, recreation, local government, and wider community-based organisations to help kickstart innovative ways for people of all abilities to get active, establishing connection to community and all the benefits it brings.
The 2021–23 Access for All Abilities Program (Program) investment supports the Victorian Government’s commitment to equitable participation in all aspects of sport and recreation while making a significant contribution to:
- healthier Victorians
- economic growth and jobs
- community cohesion
- Victoria’s liveability.
Objectives
The objectives of the Program are to:
- increase opportunities for people with disability
- build capacity in the sport and active recreation sector
- encourage collaboration across the sector and support co-design
- provide funding across varied collaborative relationships, activities types, and geographic locations (local and state-wide initiatives).
Funding Information
Funding from $30,000 to $150,000 available per project
Eligible Projects
Examples of eligible projects include (but are not limited to):
- Participation projects
- Capacity building projects
Eligible Expenses
Eligible expenditure items include:
- project-related expenditures
- the salaries of persons directly involved in the delivery of the project
- adaptation of sporting and/or active recreation equipment for use by people with disability.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible applicants must be:

Sport and Recreation Victoria (SRV)-recognised organisation:
- State Sporting Associations (SSA).
- State Sport and Active Recreation Bodies, including peak organisations (SSARB).
- Victorian Regional Academies of Sport.
- A community organisation working with people with disability.
- A health service entity specialising in the provision of services to people with disability.
- A Victorian local government authority.
- Another sport and active recreation league or association.
- A Victorian higher education provider.
