The Alternate ROOTS is seeking applications for its Solidarity Fund 2.0 program to provide one-time grants to individual artists, cultural workers, and small arts organizations in the US South experiencing financial emergency or hardship specifically related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

endThe ROOTS Region covers the Southern area of the United States: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington D.C.

The Solidarity Fund 2.0 is made possible through funding from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and collaboration with the Intercultural Leadership Institute (ILI), which includes First Peoples Fund, National Association of Latino Arts & Cultures (NALAC), PA’I Foundation and Sipp Culture. This cohort of partners seeks to support arts and culture leaders and organizations of colour, across diverse regions of the country, who typically fly beneath the national radar and national arts funding.
