The Animal Assistance Foundation (AAF) opens an annual grant cycle for organizations seeking support for projects or programs that enhance the Five Freedoms for companion animals in Colorado.
Goals
- Strengthen and support organizations that highly impact animal welfare and benefit both animals and humans in their community.
- Invest in long-term animal welfare solutions for Colorado communities in deep and lasting ways.
- Partner with organizations that are strongly committed to the five freedoms.
- Increase sustainability of the organizations in their industry and their communities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Designated 501 (c)(3) non-profit, fiscal sponsor or government entity
- Provide services in the state of Colorado
- Proposal aligns with the mission of AAF
- Demonstrate a commitment to collaboration, community responsibility, and non-divisive language
- Recent PACFA license and statistics for organizations requiring a license through the Pet Animal Care Facilities Act
- All organizations must be enrolled and reporting data to Shelter Animals Count or the Equine Welfare Data Collective, if applicable.
