Thankful has launched the Thankful4Famers initiative, bridging the gap between brands, consumers and agricultural communities in an unified movement to demonstrate support for farming and rural communities and raising funds to create sustainable impact.
Thankful4Farmers is a collaborative initiative bringing together industries, brands, influencers and consumers in an united effort to raise awareness and generate revenue to support sustainable agriculture and regional communities.
The Thankful4Farmers initiative aims to celebrate the important and significant contribution of farmers and agriculture to both the economy and culture of Australia. Celebrating the incredible diversity and quality of produce and sharing the stories of those who produce it for us.
Farmers across the globe are facing unprecedented challenges; climatic conditions, reduced investment, falling commodity prices and raising tariffs and evolving consumer expectations.
All of which is causing many to lose farms that have been in families for generations. As a result, the global farming community is also facing a mental health crisis.
Thankful4Farmers is igniting a local and global conversation to amplify awareness and generate on-going sustainable funding to create transformational impact in regional and rural communities.
Funding Information
- Funding to the value of $20-50k.
Conditions of funding award
- Must be a registered Australian charity
- The program / project must be completed within 12 months
- The applicant must specify the purpose of program / project and include a timeline on the application form.
- Quarterly update and measurability update
- Measurement criteria – short, medium and long term
- Costs to include development, execution through to completion and measurement
- The recipient will be required to submit a detailed report on their program / project within two (2) months of completion.
- It is expected that the recipient become an ambassador for Thankful4Farmer Program upon the completion of their project and be willing to speak at various Thankful4Farmners forums.
How they work
- Thankful4Farmers is committed to funding initiatives to address systemic challenges facing agriculture and rural communities in Australia.
- Thankful4Farmers partners with brands to co-brand products, services or experiences, to raise money to support Australian farming and regional communities.
- Money generated by Thankful4Farmers co-brand product partners goes to fund programs and initiatives to support local farming, regional and rural communities
- Support for local organisations and Charity Partners.
Key Selection Criteria for Grants

The money generated by Thankful4Farmers co-branded products goes to fund programs and initiatives across three areas:
- The Farm – Investment in research, technology and sustainable agricultural practices
- The Farmer – Delivering services and solutions to address critical health and wellness needs
- The Farming Community – Identify resources and infrastructure needed to enable communities to thrive and grow.
Application Process
- Applications will open with a clear deadline
- The award will be selected by the Thankful4Farmers Australian Advisory Council
- The selection panel may also choose to conduct interviews
- A written response will be provided to all applicants within 2 weeks of selection.
