The Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Education (SIU) has announced a call for applications for funding of joint projects between higher education institutions in Norway and Russia, under The Norwegian Cooperation Programme in Higher Education with Russia.
The overall aim of the Cooperation Programme with Russia is to strengthen the knowledge cooperation in areas of shared interest between Norway and Russia.
Objectives
The overall aim of the Cooperation Programme with Russia is to strengthen Norwegian-Russian knowledge cooperation in areas of shared interest. The programme seeks to achieve this through supporting projects that lead to the following outcomes:
- Sustainable joint educational cooperation in areas of mutual strategic interest between higher educational institutions and academic communities in Norway and Russia.
- Increased quality in education at the partner institutions in Norway and Russia.
- Increased intercultural competences among students and staff in higher education institutions in Norway and Russia.
- Mobility of students and staff between Norway and Russia.
Grant Information
Each project may be awarded up to NOK 2 000 000. SIU may reduce the amount awarded based on an assessment of the merits of the individual applications.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications must be submitted by the main partner institution in Norway.
- The Norwegian institution must apply together with one main partner institution from Russia.
- Applications may also involve other institutions in Norway and Russia as network partners.
- Research institutes and non-governmental organizations, public agencies or public and private enterprises in Norway or in Russia may also be involved as network partners.
- In order to be eligible, applications must meet the following requirements:
- The main partner institution in Norway must be an accredited Norwegian higher education institution, or an institution with accredited higher education programmes.
- The main partner institution outside Norway must be an accredited higher education institution, public or private, in Russia, providing accredited education programmes that arerelevant to the proposal and at a level equivalent to that offered at the Norwegian applicant institution.
- Applications must include a Letter of commitment from the main partner institution outside Norway and from each network partner, documenting interest in and commitment to the partnership by leadership at relevant level.
