Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation has partnered with Youth Service America (YSA) is seeking applications for its 2019 Youth Grants program.
One in six children in America are at risk of hunger. This is a problem that can be solved, and kids are a part of the solution! YSA (Youth Service America) and Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation are looking for 125 of the best ideas from young people about how they can help end childhood hunger in their communities.
Grant Information
Grants of up to $400 are available for youth leaders ages 5-25 across the U.S. to turn their ideas into action and make an impact on the issue of childhood hunger on Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) – April 12-14, 2019 – and beyond.
Criteria
- Youth-led community service projects designed to address childhood hunger.
- Projects that engage at least 50 young people (ages 5-25) as volunteers.
- Projects that engage youth not typically asked to serve (youth with disabilities, youth that are struggling in school, youth from underprivileged communities, etc.)
- They are especially interested in projects that bring together young people, families, Sodexo employees, and other community members.
- They are also especially interested in funding projects that address long-term solutions to childhood hunger.
- Youth ages 5-25 that live in the United States are eligible to apply for grants of up to $400.
