The Aboriginal Tourism Association of Canada (ATAC) is currently seeking applications for its Provincial / Territorial Aboriginal Tourism Association Funding Program that is designed to build and strengthen the development of industry-led, not-for-profit provincial & territorial Indigenous tourism associations. This will lead to increased revenues, growth in jobs and an expanded number of Aboriginal tourism businesses.
Funding Information
Aboriginal representatives are invited to submit a formal request for support of up to $65,000 that may be awarded per province or territory.
Eligibility Criteria
Representatives of provinces and territories who do not have established, industry-led, not-for-profit Indigenous tourism organizations are eligible to apply. Their application will be required to demonstrate:
- How their proposed program will effectively and specifically support progress towards the establishment of a sustainable, industry-led, not-for-profit provincial/territorial Indigenous tourism association
- Clear indication of support from:
- Provincial/territorial/regional tourism industry and government organizations
- Indigenous tourism entrepreneurs and Indigenous leadership support.
