The Federal Foundation Magnus Hirschfeld is seeking applications for its Research and Education Program with an aim to enhance the acceptance of people with a non-heterosexual orientation in society; the same applies to people who don’t define themselves as only man or woman.
The Foundation’s goals are to remind society of Magnus Hirschfeld, to support educational and research projects, and to fight against the discrimination of homosexuals in German society.
Funding Information
The amount of 160,000 euros is available for funded projects.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications can only be submitted by persons and institutions based in the Federal Republic of Germany.
- The members appointed for the Board of Trusties and the alternate members as well as the Chair are not allowed to submit applications, as it is not possible for them to receive funding.
- This also applies to their partners/spouses and first-degree relatives as well as for the institutions which are allowed to nominate according to §6 of the statute.
- Applications from the Advisory Board or from organisations they represent are reviewed by a working group including members of the Board of Trustees and in which the Chair participates.
