The Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation has launched a call to apply for subsidies to support projects in the field of development education.
The goal of the challenge is improving the integration, quality and efficiency of development education and systematically raising public awareness of the Slovak Republic’s development cooperation.
Sectoral Priorities and Specific Objectives
- Medium-term development cooperation strategy of the Slovak Republic for years 2019 – 2023.
- The implementation of authorized activities must contribute to the fulfillment of the goals of cross-cutting topics:
- Activities related to the integration of the cross-cutting theme (environment and climate change (SDG No. 13 – climate protection) and the integration of the cross-cutting theme equality between men and women (SDG No. 5 – gender equality) are also eligible within the sector.
- Specific goal: Support for the inclusion of development topics in lifelong learning and raising public awareness of the Slovak Republic’s development cooperation.
- As part of the specific objective, projects focused on:
- Support of innovative ways of conveying RV topics to the wider public
- Involvement of institutions in the process of RV integration
- Building the capacities of actors in the field of introducing topics RV
- Incorporating RV themes into lifelong education system
- Building partnerships and collaborations across sectors and institutions
- The primary strategic goal is to increase the public’s awareness of the Slovak Republic’s development cooperation, of development education, and to increase the population’s ability to identify the causes and consequences of poverty, inequality, injustice, and climate change.
Funding Information
- The indicative amount of funds allocated for the call is EUR 150,000.
- The maximum amount of the required ODA subsidy is EUR 50,000 per project.
- Duration:
- Minimum duration of project implementation: 12 months
- Maximum duration of project implementation: 25 months
Eligibility Criteria
- Legal form/ specific authorized applicant:
- Within this call, the following entities are eligible applicants:
- Budget organization and its facilities
- Contributory organization
- Non-profit sector/non-governmental organizations
- The date of creation of the applicant from the non-profit sector must be 01.01.2022 inclusive at the latest. If the applicant is created after this deadline, he/she will be considered ineligible. An applicant from the non-profit sector must be a provider of public benefit services within the meaning of the Act on the provision of public benefit services no later than the date of submission of the application for the provision of a subsidy.
- The applicant must not be a tax debtor.
- The applicant must have settled relations with the state budget of the Slovak Republic.
- The applicant must not be a debtor for health insurance premiums in any health insurance company providing public health insurance in the Slovak Republic.
- The applicant must not be a borrower on social insurance.
- Enforcement of the decision may not be conducted against the applicant.
- The applicant must not be subject to bankruptcy or restructuring proceedings, must not be in bankruptcy, restructuring or liquidation. The applicant has not entered into a settlement agreement with creditors, has not suspended activities, nor is he in a process leading to the suspension of activities, or in a similar situation resulting from the relevant legislation of the Slovak Republic.
- The applicant, who is a legal entity, cannot be imposed by a valid judgment the penalty of prohibition to receive subsidies or subsidies, the penalty of prohibition to receive aid and support provided from European Union funds, or the penalty of prohibition of participation in public procurement pursuant to the Act on Criminal Liability of Legal Persons (PO).
- The applicant is required to submit financial statements for the year 2022.
- The applicant must be financially capable of co-financing the project. Participation can only be financial.
- The applicant must not violate the prohibition of illegal work and illegal employment.
- The applicant, who has the obligation to register in the register of public sector partners, proves the fulfillment of this condition for providing the subsidy by delivering a copy of the confirmation of the applicant’s registration in the register of public sector partners (not older than three months).
- Each applicant is entitled to submit only one application for the implementation of the project within this call.
