Funding Information
- The McGuffin Grant provides recipients with $30,000 worth of creative strategies and design solutions that help you communicate more persuasively, more purposefully and more powerfully.
What they’re looking for?
- Given its scope, The McGuffin Grant seeks nonprofits who find themselves with a distinct marketing goal to meet or a specific communications challenge to overcome. Maybe you want to make a big splash with your annual fundraiser promotional materials. Perhaps you need to replenish a dwindling volunteer base with a big awareness push. It could be you need an eye-popping campaign to energize your major donors. In any case, the goal is to understand and help refine your objectives, and craft the kinds of creative executions and tactics that get you where you want to go.
- Although The McGuffin Grant does cover the time, it doesn’t cover everything. Things like printing costs and web development will fall outside their internal capabilities. They’ll work with you to make sure what is produced fits your budget. Plus, if needed, they’ll introduce you to some very nice and very cooperative partners.
- Finally, you must be able to appoint one contact person from your team as a liaison to McGuffin. Although they would love to hear from all of your stakeholders, having one point person helps everything run smoothly over the six months of their work together. The point person will be responsible for being the primary point of contact for your organization, aid in consolidating and communicating team feedback, as well as sharing concepts and ideas to internal stakeholders and boards.

- The McGuffin Grant is right for you if you are:
- A nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) or a U.S. organization or fiscal agent with that status
- Open to new ideas and approaches
- Willing to trust the judgment and experience of your communications partner
- Looking to have some fun
