The Rozsa Foundation is currently accepting applications for the Transformation Grants to support an organization through the expansion of an idea, including further prototyping and scaling up of the work accomplished in the experimentation phase.
Funding Information
- Support through this grant stream can possibly exceed that available through the Rozsa Foundation’s other grant streams, as well as potentially providing multi-year support for the transformational initiative.
- An appropriate request will be determined in conjunction with a conversation about the application with the Rozsa Foundation staff.
Eligible Projects
- When applying for a Transformation Grant, organizations should address the following in the project description:
- What previous experimentation has been done in this area?
- What was learned through the experimentation phase?
- How did these learnings guide the design of the next stages of development?
- How will this work transform the organization long-term?
- How will you collect and analyze information that results from this work?
- How can the learnings from this work be passed on to other organizations?
Eligibility Criteria
- The following requirements apply to all Rozsa Foundation granting streams:
- You must be a charity with a valid CRA charitable business number (9 digits, 2 letters, 4 digits).
- Equity-deserving organizations that are not charities may be able to apply for funding in partnership with a registered charity through an agency agreement.
- You must be an arts-focused organization or be applying for support in engaging the arts to further your mission.
- The focus of the investment is on Calgary and the surrounding area (including Rocky View County, MD Foothills, Banff, Canmore, Drumheller, and Rosebud) as well as on provincial organizations whose initiatives will directly benefit the Calgary arts sector.RAMP Capstone Project Grants are eligible regardless of where in Alberta the organization is based.
- Organizations located outside of these areas may still be eligible but should contact them prior to beginning the application.
Additional Points
- Organizations seeking to apply for a Rozsa Foundation Transformation Grant must begin by having a conversation with the Rozsa Foundation, to discuss what experimentation has already taken place, where the next phase of the work might go, and where the transformational impact lies.
- An organization’s ability to pass on its learning to the broader community is also a key component of the Transformation Grants.
