Applications are open for Water JPI 2018 Joint Call with an aim to address research and innovation (R&I) to support the implementation of European Union (EU) water policy, in particular on the thematic area “Closing the Water Cycle Gap” of the Water JPI Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (Water JPI SRIA).
SCOPE OF THE WATER JPI 2018 JOINT CALL
Closing the water cycle gap referrers here to bridge the gap in “supply – demand”. Proposals are invited on the topic “Closing the Water Cycle Gap – Sustainable Management of Water Resources” organised around three challenges:
- Enabling sustainable management of water resources,
- Strengthening socio-economic approaches to water management, and
- Supporting tools for sustainable integrative management of water resources.
Eligibility Criteria
- Each consortium must be composed of eligible independent entities from a minimum of three countries with FPOs involved in the Call, including eligible entities from at least two EU Member States or H2020
- Framework Programme Associated countries
- Relevant National/Regional rules must apply to each partner in the consortium in relation to the corresponding FPO
- Proposals must be received before the deadlines;
- Proposals must meet all the formal criteria (submitted electronically, respect page limits and number/type of attachments allowed, written in English language);
- Topics of the proposals must be fully relevant to the scope of the call;
- The requested total budget cannot exceed 1.5 million Euro (per proposal);
- Duration of projects must range between 24 to 36 months;
- A Consortium Coordinator can only participate in one proposal (i.e. if the principal investigator is the coordinator of a proposal, applicants cannot participate in any other proposal, neither as a coordinator nor as a partner);
- The Consortium Coordinator must be eligible to be funded by one of the FPOs;
- Researchers from the FPOs cannot apply to this Call.
