Archstone Foundation Grant Program 2020 – United States

Deadline: 1-Sep-20

Archstone Foundation has developed two new funding opportunities. One opportunity will focus on capacity building, the other on innovations.

Geography

Funding Opportunity #1:  Capacity Building

Capacity building grants seek to assist nonprofits in achieving new levels of effectiveness. Our purpose is to strengthen the leadership and management of nonprofit organizations directly serving older adults by helping them build systems and find resources to facilitate the organization’s progress in achieving the goals.  Financial and operational sustainability is key to being considered.  Organizations may be asked to complete an organizational self-assessment to determine the value of a capacity building effort. Examples of capacity building activities may include, but not be limited to the following:

Funding Opportunity #2:  Innovations

Innovations grants will enable a nonprofit to explore a new evidence-based program or service line, reaching out to a new underserved population, or substantially modify existing services. The grants are intended to provide the startup funds for this new effort. Innovation grant requests should include a description of the available evidence for the innovation. If the request is for reaching out to a new population, a rationale should be given on why it would be worth extending to a new population.
