The Arts Council Of New Zealand Toi Aotearoa is inviting applications for its Arts Grants that help New Zealand artists, arts practitioners and arts organisations to create and distribute their work.
Purpose
Arts Grants help New Zealand artists, arts practitioners and arts organisations to:
- research and create work
- present and distribute their work nationally and internationally.
- develop skills including mentoring, internships, residencies workshops and conferences
- undertake community or collaborative projects
- undertake projects with international connections
- publish catalogues, monographs, journals, books and critical writing
Funding Information
The maximum amount per annum is $65,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- As an individual applicants must be a New Zealand (NZ) citizen or permanent resident.
- NZ-based organisations can apply.
- If applicants are an overseas-based NZ artist or organisation they can apply. But their application must show direct benefit to NZ arts and they must have it endorsed by:
- NZ artist(s) currently resident in NZ and/or;
- NZ-based arts organisation(s) (must be well established).
- To apply to Māori arts:
- Applicants must be Māori or their proposed project must be managed or directed by Māori
- organisations must be owned and managed by Māori. If an organisation is applying for funding on behalf of an individual, that person must also be Māori.
