The City of Gold Coast is seeking applications for its Arts Organisations Triennial Funding Program to provide funding to Gold Coast based arts and cultural organisations over 3 years.
The Triennial Program supports new work, innovation, artistic excellence and cultural leadership. It aims to build a strong and diverse local arts ecology, strengthen opportunities for partnership, grow access and engagement for local audiences, support local creative employment, contribute to sustainable business models and raise the profile of arts and culture in the city.
Aims
The Triennial Program aims to build and support the Gold Coast’s arts sector ecology and will:
- profile their arts sector’s capabilities and strengthen opportunities for partnership and collaboration
- support the development of new work, innovation, entrepreneurship, artistic excellence and cultural leadership
- encourage a strong and diverse arts sector to provide increasing access and engagement for their local community
- support their arts sector to create sustainable employment opportunities for their creative workforce
- support their arts sector to build diverse income streams through creative business models and broadening funding opportunities with other agencies
- raise awareness of their arts and culture contributing to the City’s reputation.
Funding Information
Two streams of funding are available:
- Stream One: up to $40,000 per annum for entrepreneurial organisations/groups that are at the early-mid stages of their growth trajectory
- Stream Two: up to $150,000 per annum for established, high performing organisations that have a comprehensive multi-year strategy for how they can take on a leading role in the local sector and contribute to their economic growth through city reputation.
Eligibility Criteria
- Stream One Applicants
- Applications may only be submitted by Gold Coast based legally constituted non-government incorporated entities, or groups of collaborating artists /unincorporated entities.
- In addition, applicants must:
- have an Australian Business Number (ABN) in the name of the applicant entity
- have an Australian Company Number (ACN) (companies only)
- have a minimum twelve-month history of delivering arts related activity
- currently be solvent.
- Stream Two Applicants
- Applications may only be submitted by Gold Coast based legally constituted non-government incorporated entities.
- In addition, applicants must:
- have an ABN in the name of the applicant entity
- have an ACN (companies only)
- have a minimum three-year history of delivering arts related activity
- have a strategic plan (minimum three-years) e) show a minimum three-year (consecutive) history of reporting against government investment
- currently be solvent.
