The Arts Promotion Centre Finland is inviting proposals for the Grants for Mobility to promote the international mobility and networking of artists and art experts living in Finland.

Grants for mobility are intended to cover the costs of trips abroad. These trips must be connected to projects that are significant artistically or in terms of a specific artform, and in connection with which the applicant shall either:

Grants for mobility may be used to cover the costs of trips abroad insofar as other funding is not available. If the project is canceled due to the exceptional situation caused by the coronavirus after the grant has been awarded, the applicant must contact the Arts Promotion Centre Finland. In such cases, the grant may be used to promote the internationalization of the applicant’s own artistic activities in other ways.

Decision-Making Criteria

The awarding of grants is based on a comparison and overall assessment of applications. When evaluating applications, the following three criteria and questions are used, not all of which need to be fulfilled. There is no weighting in the decision-making criteria. The regional distribution and language of applicants are taken into consideration, as is the amount of available funding. Equality and fair treatment are also taken into account. All grants are discretionary.
