The Eurobodalla Shire Council is offering grants for projects that benefit Eurobodalla youth for Youth Week.
The grants for 2025 activities are available to eligible youth groups and not-for-profit community groups with special consideration given to projects which assist with youth development.
Youth grants are available to support education, cultural activities, training or upskilling, connection, leadership, resilience and employment opportunities for young people.
Funding Information
- Grants are generally up to a maximum of $500 (Council reserves the right to allocate more or less funding to any application).
Some examples of costs the grant can be put towards include:
- social engagement with the community (events or activities)
- educational and cultural opportunities
- skills development
- emotional wellbeing
- youth leadership
- resilience and mental health training opportunities
- employment and pathway opportunities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications must meet all of the following eligibility criteria:
- Your group needs to be not-for-profit and either incorporated or able to prove that they are a bona fide Eurobodalla based community group.
- A youth service with the primary objective of supporting young people.
- Your group or service can contribute some financial support or volunteer labour to the activity.
- Your group or service can show that it has adequate insurance coverage for the activity.
- The funding must be used for the project described on the application form and take place in the Eurobodalla Shire. Funds are not transferable to another organisation or project.
- Youth Development Grants must be used in 2024 unless otherwise negotiated.
- Provides opportunities for social engagement (Event or activity).
- Your group or service does not have any outstanding debts to Council.
- Your group will use the grant to achieve one or more of the following outcomes in your local community:
- encourage youth development in the broader community, and community to be socially engaged with young people
- makes a positive contribution to the community
- provide an opportunity for young people to be engaged in educational and cultural activities and/or for personal growth and development
- allow young people an opportunity to develop a new skill
- increase the capacity of youth to lead
- builds resilience and support for young people’s mental health
- increase exposure of youth to training opportunities
- develop employment and pathway opportunities for young people to enter the workforce.
Ineligible
- Grant funding is not available for:
- rental costs (room or venue hire)
- retrospective projects, that is your activity must occur after the grant has been issued
- annual running costs e.g. insurance, incorporation fees
- improvement works on private property
- the benefit of an individual
- wages or salary.
