The Bagri Foundation is offering Arts & Culture Grants to non-profit arts organisations actively engaged in the cultural sector, supporting artistic projects.
What they support?
- The Foundation supports diverse forms of cultural expression, encompassing both traditional and contemporary mediums, such as:
Funding Information
- Grants, ranging from £5,000 to £150,000, are awarded twice a year.
Eligible Projects
- The Trustees are particularly excited by visual arts that promote craft, making, materiality and form; where the hand of the artist is present.
- Film festivals, with a wide variety of filmmakers represented, remains a preferred project model for cinema.
- If performance-based, they particularly like interdisciplinary, especially dance or music that combine multiple styles, and they fund theatre and opera rarely.
- Group exhibitions or retrospectives that bring together broad Asian inspired ideas and concepts, universal themes with strong representation from Asia, or artists who are having their first exhibition in the UK.
Eligibility Criteria
- Projects must fulfil all the requirements below to be eligible:
- Be hosted by established organisations with a track record of delivering artistic projects.
- Promote the sharing of traditional or contemporary Asian culture.
- Include established or mid-career level artists from Asia or the diasporas.
- Result in a tangible public outcome
- Note: Please note that our grants do not support research and development-only projects, and they do not accept applications from individuals.
Ineligibility Criteria
- They don’t fund
- Research and development only projects.
- Production and post-production of films.
- Capital projects, archival projects and/or digitisation of archives.
- Collections redisplay, acquisitions or curatorial research only.
