The Bayou Community Foundation (BCF) is accepting grant request for its COVID-19 Relief Grants Program from qualified 501c3 nonprofit organizations and local government agencies to address critical unmet needs in Lafourche Parish, Terrebonne Parish and Grand Isle, Louisiana resulting from the COVID-19 health and economic crisis.
Eligibility Criteria
- Federally approved tax-exempt nonprofit organizations in good standing serving residents of Lafourche Parish, Terrebonne Parish, and/or Grand Isle are eligible to apply. “Good standing” means that the IRS currently acknowledges the organization as tax exempt and state registration is current.
- Local government agencies administering programs directly to residents in Lafourche, Terrebonne and Grand Isle are also eligible to apply.
- Eligible Grant Requests:
- Grants shall be awarded to support or expand programs that fill critical needs arising from the impacts of the COVID-19 health crisis and local economic downturn, and serve Lafourche, Terrebonne and/or Grand Isle residents. This may include but is not limited to programs such as food and medicine distribution, rent/utility assistance, mental health counseling, health care, and employment assistance. Grants may also fund health and safety modifications required by nonprofits to provide critical services to the public during the pandemic.
- This is a competitive grants process primarily based on community needs and impact of grant dollars; all requests may not be fulfilled.
