Applications are open for funds within Bilateral Cooperation Fund – measure “a” for the Programme “Promotion of Diversity in Culture and Arts within European Cultural Heritage” to cover the costs of organization of meetings between Polish cultural sector entities and institutions from the Donor States (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway).
The main objectives of these meetings should be to establish or maintain bilateral cooperation in the field of culture. Establishing partnership may result in the implementation of projects co-financed under Norway Grants and EEA Grants within the financial perspective for 2014-2021 or from other European sources.
Eligible Activities
The co-financing shall be granted for one of two eligible types of Study Visits:
- a visit by representatives of a Polish institution in Norway, Iceland, or Liechtenstein;
- hosting representatives of an institution from Norway, Iceland, or Liechtenstein in Poland
One applicant may submit up to 3 applications. One application may be submitted for a Study Visit in one country (Poland, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein). Each submitted application will undergo formal check, and in case of grant awarding, the activity will be subject of a separate financial agreement.

Eligibility Criteria
Only Polish entities with the following legal personality can apply for co-financing of Study Visits:
- State- or local-government-managed cultural institutions;
- Public artistic schools and universities;
- Public higher-education institutions (in the case of an action implemented by a faculty of arts or a faculty connected with cultural studies, history, cultural heritage, culture management);
- State archives;
- Regional or local government units or associations of such units;
- Non-governmental organisations operating in culture. The term “non-governmental organisation” shall have the respective meaning in line with the article 1.5 point 1(m) of the Regulation on the implementation of the EEA FM 2009-2014.
In order to apply for Study Visits an applying institution from Poland needs to establish cooperation with institution/s from Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein. Entities from Donor States eligible to take part in the action:
- Cultural institutions;
- Art schools or universities of arts, including specialist universities and university colleges;
- Independent faculties of arts at general higher-education institutions, including faculties of public higher-education institutions connected with cultural studies, history, cultural heritage, culture management, as well as faculties of specialist universities
- and university colleges connected with cultural studies, history, cultural heritage, culture management;
- Archives;
- Regional or local government units;
- Non-governmental organizations operating in culture;
- Economic entities with non-profit activities in culture.
How to Apply
Application in the hard copy together with all required attachments (that is: Letter of Intent and Power of authorization – if applicable) must be delivered in one envelope or a parcel (through the post (in this case, the deadline refers to a post stamp), courier (in this case, the deadline refers to register date) or in person, in 1 copy to the Programme Operator at the address given on the website.
