Call for Proposals: Strengthening Peace, Reconciliation and Social Cohesion in South Sudan

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced the Public Call Makers for submission of project proposals within the project “Activism, engagement and responsible solutions” (MAKERS) in the areas of local self-government units: Brcko District, Bugojno, Center Sarajevo, Doboj, East Novo Sarajevo, Lake, Novi Trav.

The MAKERS project seeks to strengthen existing mechanisms for citizen participation in decision-making processes, the Local Dialogue Platform (LDP), established under the Dialogue for the Future II1 project.

The project aims to improve social cohesion in partner local self-government units (LGUs), support and strengthen local mechanisms of public participation, support community activism and strengthen young leaders in their communities and beyond, promoting joint action and common goals.

Objective: Neighboring local governments coordinate with each other and with higher levels of government in order to work on issues relevant to local and higher authorities.

Goal: LGUs, citizens and young active citizens work together in partnership to take effective action at the local level on community challenges.
