Are you an inclusive business? Do you have a commercial idea that could make a lasting social and environmental impact? Through the Business Partnerships Platform, the Australian Government is calling for inclusive business partnerships to help support COVID-19 recovery in Sri Lanka.
The BPP’s COVID-19 Recovery Partnerships will help businesses to create livelihood opportunities, enhance gender equality and support green and resilient economic recovery.
The BPP is seeking partnerships in Sri Lanka which support business innovation, supply chain recovery, and market expansion.
Focus sectors

Partnerships should propose to work in one of the following sectors in Sri Lanka:
- Information and communication technology (ICT)
- Agriculture technology and fisheries
- Online education and education technology
- Financial inclusion

Funding Information
- Apply for a BPP COVID-19 Recovery Partnership to receive from AUD100,000 to AUD500,000 in funding to scale a business initiative for social impact. Applicants must match or exceed BPP funding through cash and in-kind investment. The BPP also supports partnerships through independent partnership brokers and business, gender and inclusion advisers.
- Businesses must specify an implementation period of between one and three years in their application. The implementation period must fall between 01 April 2021 and 30 June 2024.

How you apply
- To apply for a BPP Sri Lanka COVID-19 Recovery Partnership, you must first register through the application portal and complete a concept note (see concept note template). The concept note will gather information about your commercial initiative, the social and environmental impact it aims to create and the ability of your business to successfully deliver the initiative.
Eligibility Criteria
- A business can apply on its own or in a consortium with other businesses, social enterprises, investors, non-government organisations or other types of organisations. Applicants must be registered with a business or other recognised registration/accreditation body and have a financial history. The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) will undertake a due diligence process before entering a contract with successful applicants.
