The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL) has announced an open competition for organizations interested in submitting applications for a regional small grants and capacity-building program to strengthen civil society organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).

The DRL seeks proposals for a program to administer small grants and organizational and capacity-building support to the types of groups and collectives. DRL seeks applications that focus on the technical and administrative processes that will guide the implementation of the program as well as the institutional capacity of the applicant to successfully manage federal funds in this way.

Program Components

The mechanism should work in as flexible and responsive a manner as possible while still maintaining responsibility to the US taxpayer and compliance with US government regulations. Lines of effort under this program will include:
