The United States Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), is seeking applications from qualified Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs),  Educational Institutions and other qualified organizations for a Grant to implement a program entitled “Citizen Security through Anti-Drug Community Coalitions: Creation and Support of Anti-Drug Community Coalitions in Costa Rica.”

Project Goals

The model is based on U.S. or foreign models for citizen involvement against addiction. The  goal of this program is to train, establish and monitor formation of grass-roots, community-based groups to implement actions that tend to reduce inducements to drug use, as well as establishment of mechanism that enable Costa Rican authorities to foster permanence and expansion of the model.
