The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has announced the applications for the Montana/Dakotas Wildlife Resource Management to help ensure self-sustaining populations and a natural abundance and diversity of wildlife on public lands for the enjoyment and use of present and future generations.

The BLM Montana/Dakotas Wildlife Program works with partners and cooperating agencies/governments to protect biodiversity; identify, conserve, and restore priority habitats (those that are locally at risk, important to local or regional communities, and/or contribute to national conservation for species or groups of species); and promote resiliency to climate change and environmental stressors, including drought, wildland fire, unusual weather events, and insects/disease.
