Are you an inclusive business? Do you have a commercial idea that could make a lasting social and environmental impact? Through the Business Partnerships Platform, the Australian Government is calling for partnerships to help support COVID-19 recovery in Bangladesh, Nepal, Philippines, Timor-Leste and Tonga.

The BPP’s COVID-19 Recovery Partnerships will help businesses to create livelihood opportunities, enhance gender equality and support green and resilient economic recovery.

Social impact

The BPP is seeking partnerships which create social impact in the following areas:

  • Green recovery
  • Economic opportunities for women
  • Skills development for workers and medium and small sized businesses
  • Digitalisation

Partnerships should propose to work in the country-specific sectors listed below: 

Partnerships should propose to work in one of the following sectors in Bangladesh:

  • Agriculture and agricultural technology (crops and livestock, sustainable agricultural practices, mechanisation and modernisation)  
  • Financial inclusion (mobile financial services, e-commerce, payment delivery mechanisms)  
  • Renewable energy and energy efficiency  
  • Textiles and manufacturing (ready-made garment, jute, leather, plastic industries) 

Partnerships should propose to work in one of the following sectors in Nepal:

  • Agriculture  
  • Information and Communications Technology and financial inclusion  
  • Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises
  • Tourism 

Partnerships should propose to work in one of the following sectors in the Philippines:

  • Cyber Security and critical infrastructure for small and medium enterprises
  • Digital mental health services  
  • Information and Communications Technology, banking and telecommunications 
  • Digital skills, big data, artificial intelligence and data analytics 

Timor-Leste

Partnerships should propose to work in one of the following sectors in Timor-Leste

  • Agriculture, food security and nutrition  
  • Financial inclusion 
  • Tourism

Partnerships should propose to work in one of the following sectors in Tonga:

  • Agriculture  
  • Financial inclusion  
  • Skills development in construction
  • Tourism
