The Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women and Sport and Physical Activity (CAAWS) is currently accepting applications for its 2019 Women in Sport Encouragement (WISE) Fund to invest in the development of female leaders in sport and support organizations to strengthen their engagement of girls and women in sport.
Funding Areas
The two core areas of emphasis are:
- Retention of girls in sport
- Expanding female leadership in sport
Grant Information
CAAWS will be awarding 10 grants valued at $1000 each.
Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible for a WISE grant, applicants must meet the following criteria and fit into one of the two categories:
- Organization
- Applicants are representing a club/team affiliated with a provincial/territorial or national sport organization in Canada
- Applicants are applying on behalf of a provincial, territorial, national, or multi-sport organization who has a partnership affiliation with Sport Canada.
- Individual
- Applicants are a woman who is a coach, official, sport administrator, instructor, or volunteer who interacts with girls and women in a sport
- Affiliated personally or through a club/team with a provincial/territorial, national, or multi-sport organization in Canada.
