Call for Applications: Discretionary Government Transfer for Developing Country Representatives’ Participation in Human Rights Education

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland will grant a discretionary government transfer to support developing country representatives’ participation in a high-level international human rights education programme to be organised in 2017.

Supporting the organisation of an international human rights education programme is expected to contribute to the strengthening the monitoring and implementation of human rights in developing and transition countries.

The discretionary government transfer for which applications can now be submitted is aimed at supporting the participation of people from developing countries, preferably post-graduate students, in a training course for experts to be organised in Finland. The course may include a few weeks’ research work period, organised by the recipient of the discretionary government transfer, tailored for these students.

Funding Information

The amount reserved for the intended purpose is maximum EUR 45,000. The education and training programme must be carried out in the course of 2017 in one or several modules.
