The Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic has announced a call for applications for Support Under the National Program Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (NP AMIF).
The aim of this call is to establish and/or operate centers to support the integration of foreigners (hereinafter only “Centers”) in individual regions of the Czech Republic on the basis of §155a of Act No. 326/1999 Coll. on the stay of foreigners in the territory of the Czech Republic, as amended and in accordance with the Concept of Integration of Foreigners – In Mutual Respect.
All the activities of the Center described below apply to a similar extent to the AMIF component as well as a complementary component, ie all services will be provided to both the target group of the AMIF component and the target group complementary components.
The main task of the Center is to ensure equal access for foreigners 9 to integration services and to provide qualified integration support at a comparable level, provide information and support for both foreigners and majority society, incl. public administration bodies, in cooperation with integration actors in the regions, especially non-governmental non-profit one’s organizations.
The centers will support the integration of foreigners through an outpatient clinic and field counseling, Czech language courses and socio-cultural orientation, interpreting, assistance, etc. It will actively involve foreigners in its activities, support communication, and mutual knowledge between foreigners and the majority of society and the development of civil society in the regions concerned. The centers will also monitor the situation of foreigners in individual regions. Platforms supported by the Centers will ensure coherence and synergy of actors’ integration across disciplines, organizations, and institutions.
Funding Information
- The minimum amount of total eligible project expenses is set at CZK 1,000,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- According to the rules of NP AMIF, the eligible applicant must meet the following conditions:
- is a legal entity, which is a registered entity in the Czech Republic, ie a person which has its own identification number (so-called ID number, sometimes also ID number);
- has an active data box;
- has a valid qualified electronic signature;
- is not one of the entities that cannot participate in the call for reasons insolvency, fines, debt, etc. according to the following paragraph.
- An applicant shall not be eligible to participate in the call or to receive support if:
- is in liquidation, bankruptcy, imminent bankruptcy or insolvency proceedings in the sense of Act No. 182/2006 Coll., on Bankruptcy and Ways of Resolving It (insolvency law);
- has tax arrears recorded in the tax records or have arrears on insurance premiums or penalties for public health insurance or social security or contribution to the state employment policy.
- Definitions of individual eligible applicants:
- Non-governmental non-profit organizations:
- associations pursuant to Act No. 89/2012 Coll., The Civil Code;
- public benefit companies established pursuant to Act No. 248/1995 Coll., on public benefit corporations, as amended;
- constitutions according to Act No. 89/2012 Coll. Civil Code;
- foundation (foundation and endowment fund) according to Act No. 89/2012 Coll., Civil code;
- registered legal entities established pursuant to Act No. 3/2002 Coll., On Freedom religion and the status of churches and religious societies and amending certain laws (the Law on Churches and Religious Affairs)companies).
- Organizational units of the state:
- entities stipulated by Section 3, Paragraph 1 of Act No. 219/2000 Coll., on the property of the Czech Republic and its representation in legal relations.
- Higher territorial self-governing units:
- higher territorial self-governing units according to the Constitutional Act No. 347/1997 Coll., on the creation of higher territorial self-governing units and on the amendment of the constitutional Act of the Czech National Council No. 1/1993 Coll., the Constitution of the Czech Republic, Act No. 129/2000 Coll., on regions (regional establishment) and Act No. 131/2000 Coll., about the capital city of Prague
