The Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Turkey is currently accepting applications for the implementation of the projects of the Lithuanian Development Cooperation and Democracy Promotion Programme in the Republic of Turkey in 2024.
Project Concepts
- The Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania calls for submission of applications for projects for the implementation of the following concepts in the field of environment protection and addressing climate change challenges:
- Concept No 1
- To support Turkish nongovernmental and local institutions in their environment protection efforts
- Areas of cooperation: Climate change, Environment protection
- Concept No 2
- To strengthen capacities of Turkish local level authorities and to develop collaboration between municipal level authorities in Türkiye and Lithuania in the fields of climate change, EU Green Deal, energy transition.

Objectives
- Concept No 1
- Re-creation of green areas, specifically forests in Türkiye, affected by wildfires in the past 3 years;
- Information campaign about the environment protection, importance of protecting, maintaining and creating new green spaces;
- Involvement of local communities, especially youth, into green space re-creation activities.
- Concept No 2
- To exchange experiences on good practices and innovative solutions in the fields of waste management, energy efficiency in buildings and renovation, green transformation and green energy at municipal and local level;
- to organize awareness raising campaign on the above mentioned issues aimed for targeted audience – climate, environment experts, municipal/local level public servants in Türkiye
- to ensure continuity of the partnerships established during the project.
Funding Information
- 12 500 EUR will be allocated to each project in 2024.
