Call for Expressions of Interest: Integration and support for Entrepreneurship of Rural Youth in Haiti

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has launched the call for expressions of interest for the Recruitment of an institution for the training of 500 Rural Youth as part of Activities to Promote Income Generating Activities (AGR).

The UNDP Project in charge of integration and support for entrepreneurship of rural youth”, targeting young rural men and women in the communes of Ferrier and St Raphael, located in the Northeast and North departments of Haiti, wishes through this call for expressions of interest (AMI), to select a local institution from the communes of St Raphael and Ferrier which will be responsible for the training of 500 young rural people as part of activities to promote Income Generating Activities ( AGR).

In order to respond to these challenges and promote the socio-economic inclusion of rural youth, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) has developed a project called “Insertion and support for entrepreneurship of young rural people”, targeting young men and women from the communes of Ferrier and St Raphael, located in the North-East departments and North Hai. This project aims to support their professional integration and improve their training to meet local needs while encouraging economic initiatives.

As part of the second component of the project, it is planned to support youth entrepreneurship. This activity aims to promote the socio-economic inclusion of vulnerable young men and women (aged 18 to 35), including people with disabilities, through support for IGAs (Generative Activities). of Income). This will be an immediate solution to the persistent challenge of underemployment in rural areas of Haiti by improving the productivity and income of self-employment in the informal sector.
