Call for Expressions of Interest: Women’s Community Based Organizations (Haiti)

Thriving Women Program – United States

Deadline: 27-May-24

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has developed a project entitled “Insertion and support for entrepreneurship of young rural people”, targeting young rural men and women in the communes of Ferrier and St Raphael, located in the NordNord departments in East and North of Haiti.

This project aims to support their professional integration and improve their training to meet local needs while encouraging economic initiatives.

As part of the first component of the project, it is planned to support local investment to promote job-creating economic growth. This support will consist of providing financial support for the income-generating activities of local organizations, particularly grassroots community organizations. This initiative aims to provide a sustainable source of income and alleviate the economic difficulties faced by rural women, thereby contributing to their empowerment and well-being.
