The British Embassy Ankara is accepting project proposals on climate change for the 2022 to 2023 financial year (September 2022 to March 2023).
Priorities
The United Kingdom (UK) is seeking to strengthen its contribution to tackling climate change and, therefore, support project/s in Turkey which aim to achieve (one or more of) the following priorities:
- Clean energy, energy efficiency and energy diversification
- Waste management and recycling
- Clean mobility and zero emission vehicles
- Green finance
- Biodiversity and nature conservation
- Adaptation and climate resilience
- Climate change education and capacity building
- Implementation of nationally-determined contributions (NDCs) and COP 26 commitments
Funding Information
- Minimum budget limit: £30,000 (thirty thousand pounds sterling) including VAT
- Maximum budget limit: £90,000 (ninety thousand pounds sterling) including VAT
Types of Activities
The following types of activities are eligible under this call for proposals:
- conferences, seminars;
- training activities;
- advocacy missions;
- other activities that help achieve the outcomes.
Eligibility Criteria
- Projects will be funded for six months from September 2022 to 31 March 2023.
- Successful implementers must receive project funding in Pound Sterling (£) and open a Pound Sterling bank account for the project.
- Project bids should demonstrate 90% spend by 31 December 2022 and 100% spend by 31 March 2023.
- The applicant organisation must be legally recognised (has ‘legal personality’) and they must be based in Turkey.
- Potential implementers are allowed to combine efforts and submit their project proposals in a consortium of several organisations (implementers). Those could be international and local non-governmental organisations, multilateral organisations, universities, municipalities and governmental organisations. If this option is chosen, one entity should be the main Partner, which will coordinate efforts of the joint initiative and will be primarily responsible for the project implementation.
