Call for Projects: Strengthening the Resilience of Local Communities and Preserving Peace Gains in Mali

The United Nations Development Program has launched the calls for proposals from non-governmental organizations to strengthen the resilience of local communities and preserving peace gains in central Mali.

The project is a pilot initiative to operationalize the sustainable solutions and stabilization strategy of central Mali in the regions of Mopti, Bandiagara and Douentza. It is also justified by the evolution of the security situation on the ground, in particular with:

The project aims to improve the living conditions of the populations as a dividend of the ongoing peace process, reduce the risk of violence and strengthen trust between the State and the populations.

The project will enable the United Nations system in Mali to launch a more coherent and integrated pilot approach to the implementation of the Humanitarian – Development – ​​Peace Nexus through a concerted and coordinated commitment of all actors and a multi-sectoral approach focused on strengthening the resilience of displaced or returnees and their host communities.
