The UN Women is accepting proposals for Building Peace through Art and Women’s Voices.

Objectives
- Develop an artistic intervention in each of the following cities: La Paz, El Alto, Cochabamba, Santa Cruz, Potosí, and Tarija.
- Each intervention must include, at a minimum, the creation of a mural, the organization and development of at least two complementary artistic activities, as well as the creation of spaces for reflection and awareness-raising in the community on the connection between women, peace, and security, highlighting the crucial role women play in maintaining, developing, and consolidating peace.
- Each activity must be implemented in conjunction with local collectives and/or organizations that reflect and/or promote the local cultural identity and have the potential to develop their work in the cities selected for this call.
Funding Information
- The budget range for this proposal must be Maximum 70,000 USD.
Eligible Activities
- To this end, the following activities will be carried out:
- Painting of at least one mural in a strategic public space in the city, highlighting the role of women and youth in peacebuilding. Organization and development of at least two artistic activities that promote public participation. The artistic and cultural activities will take place simultaneously during the creation of the mural. These may include musical, theatrical, and dance performances, as well as participatory and inclusive interventions that strengthen and highlight the connection between women, peace, and security.
- Cultural interventions must include local cultural identity, promoting a sense of belonging and ownership by the community. Activities must be recorded through photographs, videos, and audio in the highest possible quality.
Eligibility Criteria
- Required technical/functional skills:
- Current legal registration or status for at least 5 years.
- At least 5 years of experience working in Bolivia.
- At least 5 years of experience developing cultural activities to promote human rights.
- At least 3 years of experience developing cultural activities that engage with society with a human rights and/or gender perspective and/or cultural management approach.
- Experience working with local organizations and groups in different regions of the country.
- Previous experience working with agencies of the United Nations System or other international cooperation organizations (desirable).
- Other skills that, although not required, may be an advantage for the provision of services:
- Relations with local authorities.
- Previous experience working with UN Women, other UN agencies, or other organizations in the region.
- Experience in cultural management processes, planning, and development of cultural activities for the empowerment of women and girls, and/or community dialogue involving local artistic groups in different cities across the country.
