UNDP is calling for proposals to strengthen national, regional, and local capacities in COVID19 coordination, prevention, and response in connection with the epidemiological and environmental impact on cohesion social, and marginalization of women and the most vulnerable categories.
The project and in support of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Local Affairs and Environment, the Ministry of Youth and Civil Society launches a call for proposals to support the establishment of 10 initiatives by women’s civil society organizations for strengthening the resilience of society in the face of exacerbation of conflicts communities and the marginalization of the most vulnerable categories caused by pandemic. This includes support / training for civil society organizations.
The project “Strengthening national, regional and local capacities in COVID19 coordination, prevention and response in connection with the epidemiological impact and environmental ”is part of the UNDP response to the health crisis and the preparation for recovery. It complements the initiatives implemented since the onset of the pandemic to strengthen prevention, response and recovery in three specific areas which are the health system, integrated response management and inclusive and needs assessment in terms of socioeconomic impact assessment.
Project support targets several areas such as strengthening governance crisis and disaster risk management, reducing the social impact of the crisis and improving the resilience of vulnerable populations, innovation and engagement youth as well as the engagement of civil society. This is how the project comes to support disaster and crisis risk management efforts already initiated by UNDP since 2012 as a main supporter with its partners of the integration of risk reduction of disasters in planning, and more specifically through interventions consistent over the past four years.
Funding Information
- The financial support offered by UNDP under this call for proposals is capped at 25,000 TND.
- UNDP support can cover up to 100% of the total project cost (i.e. the applicant is not required to make a financial contribution to the submitted project).
- The duration of the projects must not exceed a period of six (06) months.
Target Regions
The targeted regions are:
- Kairouan;
- Siliana;
- Tataouine;
- Medenine (Djerba Houmet Souk and Djerba Midoun);
- Jendouba (Ain Drahem);
- Kasserine.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility of Applicants
The applicant must meet the following conditions in order to be eligible for a grant:
- Be a civil society organization whose head office and activities are based in the governorate in which the project will be carried out;
- Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action and not limit yourself to an intermediary role;
- Be independent from political parties / movements;
- Compliance with the provisions of Law No. 2018-48 relating to the declaration of goods and interests, the fight against illicit enrichment and conflict of interest;
- Registration in the national register of enterprises in accordance with the provisions of Law
Eligibility of Actions
The eligibility of actions is determined by the following conditions:
- The duration of an action cannot exceed the duration of the project;
- The action themes must necessarily fall within the framework of the theme of this call for proposals;
- Actions must be carried out within the framework of the geographical coverage planned.
Eligibility of costs
- Only “eligible costs” can be taken into account in the grant. They represent actual costs, foreseen by the project and validated by UNDP and supported by vouchers.
- UNDP reserves the right to request clarifications on the budget submitted which may result in changes to the final approved budget. The budget cannot be changed, thereafter, only with the explicit agreement of the UNDP. Accordingly, it is in the interest of the applicant to provide a realistic budget with a cost-effective ratio.
