The Legal Services Facility (LSF) is inviting proposals from organizations working to increase access to justice for all, in particular for women and girls through legal empowerment approach.

The Duration of the Project is one (1) year. The maximum grant available for this project is Tshs. 100,000,000/-.
Actions they are interested in
- They are interested in a result oriented, efficient and cost effective intervention with a direct contribution in enhancing access to justice in the country.
- Please send them a Proposal that sets out your “intervention for change”. The Proposal must explain how the proposed project will bring about change and give a snapshot of your organisation’s strategy and capacity. The proposal needs to answer these questions:
- Access to justice challenge: What is the issue you are addressing? Who is affected?
- Capacity development approach: What are your approaches for the capacity development to paralegals on ADR.
- Outcomes and impact: What specific LSF strategic objective(s) will the intervention contribute to?
- The value you bring: What is unique or special about your approach?
- Strategic and Implementing partners: What other partners/actors are key for you to work with for the initiative to be successful?
- Main activities: What will you do to address the access to justice issue?
- Cost structure: What is the budget for the project?
Location
This call for proposal covers all regions across the country (including Zanzibar). Applicant organizations must have physical presence and registered in Tanzania.
Eligibility Criteria
- This call for proposal is open the following organizations;
- Registered and legally existing Civil Society Organization(CSO)/Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) working in Tanzania and with its Head-Quarter in the country.
- The organizations which are not for profit and which have been and are involved in promotion and protection of human rights and women rights, provision of legal aid, (public) legal education, including paralegal services and community mobilisation, engaged in other social and economic empowerments interventions.
- The organization must have a proven capacity on capacity development and mentorship skills to grassroots organizations.
- The organization should have a good track record in working with Government Authorities, other formal and informal actors who are key players in access to justice.
- In addition, all applicants for this call for proposal must demonstrate that they;
- Are legally established and are compliant to the rules and regulations through which they have registered in either Tanzania Mainland or Zanzibar.
- Have a solid, transparent and functional governance structure that can be demonstrated during a due diligence process
- Have well established (financial, M&E) management systems, documentation and demonstrable result-based report writing skills
- Have experience with community mobilisation towards access to justice with the relevant Socio-economic and cultural sensitivity.
