Deadline: 26-Mar-24
The Embassy of France in Kigali is seeking applications for the Fonds Equipe France – Civil Society Organisations (FEF-CSO).
Themes of Selected Projects
- This call for projects is based on the general theme of “gender and health”, in line with the objectives set out in France’s international strategy on sexual and reproductive health and rights.
- By way of example, the following projects could be supported:
- Combating sexual and gender-based violence, including capacity-building activities for reception, listening and guidance centres for women victims of violence;
- Economic and social reintegration activities for teenage mothers;
- Improving access to quality sexual and reproductive health services and products;
- Advocacy or institutional or public communication activities to promote and defend the rights of women and girls.
- Priority will be given to innovative and structuring projects that are likely to create a leverage effect and that can be replicated or taken up on a larger scale.
- Emphasis will be placed on impact and results indicators, which must be realistic and objectively verifiable.
- The selection committee will pay particular attention to actions targeting inclusion, specifically aimed at people in vulnerable situations: people with disabilities, internally displaced persons, refugees, among others.
- The selected CSOs will benefit from a capacity-building workshop before being awarded a grant, to facilitate the implementation of their project.
- Please note: taking the gender dimension into account in projects should not be limited to identifying female beneficiaries.
- The projects submitted must include specific actions to encourage the reduction of gender inequalities, while including men and boys, with a view to supporting social and behavioural change.
