The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has launched a call for proposals for Two Civil Society Organizations Program.

This call for proposals (CFP) is specifically linked to the Microfinance Programme (MFP) of the Fund for the Global Environment Facility (GEF), UNDP –

Located in a region particularly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, Djibouti faces challenges major environmental issues such as the scarcity of water resources, desertification and phenomena extreme weather. These challenges exacerbate pressures on livelihoods and threaten the sustainable development of the country.

In response to these challenges, Djibouti joined the Microfinance Programme (MFP) of the Fund for the Global Environment Facility (GEF), a mechanism that aims to support non-governmental organizations and community-based organizations (NGOs/CBOs) through the provision of grants to enable them to implement local initiatives that address both global environmental priorities and the sustainable development needs of communities.
