Human Rights Monitoring Institute together with OSFL Projects have launched a Call for Proposals: Fund for Bilateral Relations within the NGO Programme Lithuania with an aim to strengthening bilateral relations between the Donor States and Lithuania.

In order to achieve the goal of strengthened bilateral relations, a separate fund is formed within the framework of NGO Programme Lithuania, which is aimed at supporting bilateral initiatives (hereinafter referred to as Fund for Bilateral Relations, or FBR).

NGO Programme Lithuania is part of 2009-2014 European Economic Area Financial Mechanism (EEA Grants) funded by The Republic of Iceland, The Principality of Liechtenstein and The Kingdom of Norway (hereinafter referred to as the Donor States). NGO Programme aims to provide flexible and easy-to-use financial and capacity building support to Lithuanian NGOs.

The overall objective of the NGO Programme is strengthened civil society development and enhanced contribution to social justice, democracy and sustainable development, strengthened bilateral relations between Lithuania and the Donor States.

Focus of the NGO Programme Lithuania is on the strengthening of the NGO sector and contribution to the creation of enabling environment for this sector; thematic focus of the Programme is promotion of democracy and human rights principles, with special attention to all forms of intolerance and discrimination, and empowerment of vulnerable groups.
