The Igman Initiative is seeking proposals for the implementation of the projects under the regional Action “CARE – Contribution to Access of Refugees and IDPs to Rights and Employment Opportunities” financed by the European Commission, DG NEAR, and aimed at contributing to the technical, socio-economic and socio-cultural sustainability of the Regional Housing Programme.
Objectives
- To support government’s sustainability monitoring through participatory collection of three areas of RHP sustainability data:
- Technical (housing-related),
- Socio-economic (livelihood-related),
- Socio-cultural (rights-related);
- To contribute to the RHP sustainability in the areas of rights and livelihoods of the RHP end-beneficiaries.
Types of Activities
- LOT 1
- Interview with pre-selected beneficiaries through field visits in close cooperation with the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration Of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina;
- Assessment of the needs of identified returnees;
- Assistance to RHP beneficiaries during return, in terms of informing them so they can make advised decisions on sustainable return and reintegration in their pre-war communities.
- LOT 2
- Procurement, distribution and delivery of housing kits containing laundry machine, refrigerator, kitchen elements and a dresser to beneficiaries selected in cooperation with the Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees

The overall indicative amount made available under this Call for Proposal for Bosnia and Herzegovina is € 66,000
Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible for sub-grant the applicant must
- be a legal person and,
- be non- profit making and,
- be civil society organizations and,
- be established in Serbia or Bosnia and Herzegovina,
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action, not acting as an intermediary and,
- be experienced and able to demonstrate their capacity to manage larger scale activities corresponding to the size and type of the project for which a grant is being requested
