The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced the proposals on Security Sector Reform in Tunisia.
Objectives
In order to promote this new approach to community policing and to strengthen the involvement of civil society in its implementation, the United Nation Development Programme (UNDP) is pleased to launch a call for proposals aimed at civil society actors to support associative initiatives aimed at:
- Make operational the procedures for consultation and participation within the Local Community Security Committees set up within the framework of the Tunisian model of community policing, in the diagnosis and prevention of insecurity at the local level, essentially insecurity affecting women;
- Carry out diagnostic work to update local security plans mainly with regard to the problem of insecurity and violence against women;
- Constitute spaces for dialogue, exchanges and debate making it possible to establish territorialized diagnoses of priorities in terms of prevention of gender-based violence;
- Implement citizen initiatives contributing to the prevention of gender-based violence in order to improve community security and the quality of life at the local level.
Funding Information
- The financial support proposed by the UNDP within the framework of this call for proposals is capped at 20,000 TND.
- The duration of the projects must not exceed a period of three (03) months.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must meet the following conditions to be eligible for a grant:
- Be a civil society organization headquartered and operating in the governorate in which the project will be implemented;
- Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action and not be limited to an intermediary role;
- Compliance with the provisions of Law No. 2018-48 on the declaration of assets and interests, the fight against illicit enrichment and conflict of interest;
- Registration in the national business register in accordance with the provisions of the Law No. 2018-52.
